This is the current award for 60 years’ active service in the Fire Service or Civil Protection of Berlin. The decoration is awarded in three stages: Silver Grade for 25 years active service, Gold Grade for 35 years active service nd the Special Grade for exceptional deeds. While the Silver & Gold of the honorary award can receive all members of the volunteer fire brigades or civil protection services, the Special Grade is given to persons who have distinguished themselves by their particularly brave and determined behavior.
